An exceptional environment
Surrounded by a spectacular natural landscape, the Grenoble-Alpes site is a privileged place to study and work. It is the first French university in the GreenMetric ranking and is fully committed to sustainable development. The main campus of Saint-Martin-d’Hères hosts one of the most important open-air sculpture collections in France. Along with the Presqu’île campus it regroups the vast majority of staff and students and has all the necessary cultural, sport, health and other student facilities.
These include traditional structures such as auditoriums as well as more innovative experiments like EVE (“Espace de Vie Étudiante”), which was set up 10 years ago as a social and cultural experimentation space.
Social and cultural interaction with society and the territory
UGA has an active associative life with around 300 student associations and numerous cultural and social outreach initiatives. These are co-constructed and co-animated with social and cultural partners.
UGA is particularly well known for promoting scientific culture both for the general public.
